Arts and Craft Fair in the Kaiserpfalz (Imperial Palace)

"ausgefallen - ausgezeichnet" ("exceptionally excellent") 12 and 13 June 2010

Every year Forchheim in upper Franconia is home to the Arts and Crafts Fair which is held in and around the historical Kaiserpfalz. The motto of this year`s 15th Arts and Crafts Fair is "ausgefallen - ausgezeichnet" of which a rough translation would be "exceptionally excellent".

Here you can find unusual ceramic objects, sculptures made of iron or glass, gorgeous leather goods, works of art made of paper and strange and wonderful metalwork. Unique designs of clothing and bags, exquisite jewelry made of felt, wood or precious metals. Wind chimes and original games makes up the complete range of fabulous items on show.

Around 80 artisans from all over Germany and Europe have been chosen by a jury whose aim is to show only high quality wares which attract around 10.000 visitors every year.
