How to reach Forchheim

Forchheim is very well linked to the autobahn system and the train system of the Deutsche Bahn. Nuremberg Airport with direct service to all important German and European cities is only 35 km away.

Arriving by car

Via the Autobahn A73 Nuremberg-Bamberg-Coburg Forchheim is linked to the Autobahn A9 Berlin-Nuremberg and the Autobahn A3 Wuerzburg-Frankfurt. The federal road 470 links Forchheim with Bayreuth, the Fraenkische Schweiz and Hoechstadt/Aisch.

Arriving by train
 

Forchheim lies directly by the ICE-tracks Munich-Nuremberg-Berlin and can be easily reached by EuroCity, Interregio and Regional Express. In addition to that regular trains leaving from Nuremberg`s big interchange station make it possible to reach Forchheim from almost every region of Germany.

Arriving by plane

Forchheim can be easily reached from Nuremberg Airport which is only half an hour or 35 km away. It is also possible to arrive at the airports of Munich and Frankfurt and use the train or car to reach Forchheim.
